Smith Moore Leatherwood’s Zandra Johnson Elected to SC Bar House of Delegates

Johnson will represent the 13th Judicial District

GREENVILLE, SC – April 15, 2010 – Smith Moore Leatherwood LLP attorneyZandra L. Johnson has been re-elected to the South Carolina BarAssociation House of Delegates.  Johnson, who will represent the 13thJudicial District, will serve her second two-year term beginning July 1,2010.

A leader in Smith Moore Leatherwood’s litigation practice in itsGreenville office, Johnson’s service as a member of the House ofDelegates includes assisting in the establishment of policy for the SCBar.  At Smith Moore Leatherwood, Johnson focuses her practice oncommercial defense litigation, including products liability,professional negligence, real estate litigation and premises liability. 

She is a member of the South Carolina Bar Association, the GreenvilleCounty Bar Association for which she has recently been appointed Chairof the newly created Diversity Committee, the South Carolina BlackLawyers Association, the South Carolina Women Lawyers Association andthe Donald James Sampson Bar Association, for which she currently servesas the Vice President.

A graduate of South Carolina State University and the St. John’sUniversity School of Law, Johnson is also a leader within the Greenvillecommunity as a member of the Girl Scouts of South Carolina Mountains toMidlands Council Board of Directors and the Board of Directors for theGreenville Tech Foundation.  She is also an active member of JuniorLeague of the Upstate and is a frequent motivational speaker to thelocal area youth.
