Smith Moore Leatherwood attorney appointed topic and article editor of Franchise Law Journal

Smith Moore Leatherwood LLP announced that attorney Emily I. Bridges has been selected as topic and article editor of the American Bar Association’s (ABA) Franchise Law Journal. Her term began Aug. 1.
Bridges is an associate attorney in Smith Moore Leatherwood’s Greenville office and a member of the firm’s litigation team, where she focuses on antitrust and franchise litigation.
Prior to joining Smith Moore Leatherwood, Bridges received a B.A. from Furman University, where she graduated summa cum laude and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Bridges earned her J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law, magna cum laude, in 2015. While at USC Law, she served as editor in chief of the South Carolina Law Review and was a member of the Moot Court Bar, Women in Law and Student Bar Association.
The Franchise Law Journal is published quarterly by the ABA Forum on Franchising. The publication seeks to inform and educate members of the bar by publishing articles, columns, and reviews concerning legal developments relevant to franchising as a method of distributing products and services.
