SolAmerica Energy launching solar operation in Edgefield County

EDGEFIELD COUNTY, SC – SolAmerica Energy, a full-service provider of solar energy, is launching a new operation in Edgefield County. This new 10-megawatt (MW) project is expected to bring approximately $13 million of new capital investment.

SolAmerica Energy develops, finances, constructs and operates commercial and utility-scale solar photovoltaic projects. Based in Atlanta, Ga., the company has built solar projects for many of the leading companies in the Southeast and has developed projects for nationally-recognized investors and owner-operators.

Located on Davis Road in Ridge Spring, S.C., the company’s new 10-MW solar farm is situated on approximately 100 acres and is expected to be operational by the third quarter of 2018.
