Southeastern Freight Lines Promotes John Greene to Fleet Services Manager at Greenville Service Center

LEXINGTON, SC – October 31, 2013 – Southeastern Freight Lines, the leading provider of regional less-than-truckload (LTL) transportation services, today announced that John Greene has been promoted from an A-class technician to fleet services manager in Greenville, S.C.

Greene has more than 20 years of fleet service experience with 18 of those years at Southeastern. Greene started working part-time at Southeastern while attending Greenville Technical College and progressed steadily to third shift lead in the power shop before eventually moving to first shift as an A-Class technician.

“As a veteran Southeastern associate, John is well immersed in our service company culture and is committed to the goal of providing quality service to every customer,” said Keith Huggins, regional vice president, Southeastern Freight Lines. “We are confident in his great leadership skills and look forward to adding John’s technician skills and experience to our fleet services operations in Greenville.”

Greene was one of the first technicians in Greenville to receive his Associate Continuing Education (ACE) certification, an in-house technician certification process made up of 16 modules that span all aspects of heavy vehicle maintenance. Additionally, Greene has competed multiple times in the Southeastern Technician Skills Challenge, winning the trailer alignment station in the 2012 competition and represented Southeastern in the Technology and Maintenance Council’s South Carolina National Technician Skills Competition.
