Spartanburg Water announces new Capital Projects Officer

Spartanburg Water is pleased to announce the promotion of Gene Jackson to the position of Capital Projects Officer (CPO), a new position at Spartanburg Water. Formerly our Director of Engineering, as Capital Projects Officer, Gene will continue to oversee the Engineering department, but will also have responsibility for leading company-wide initiatives, as well as managing our strong focus on innovation and economic development. Gene will lead utility planning and work closely with key facility owners to support utility assets. His experience will help us achieve strategic momentum in the management of the many projects that are planned or underway.

Gene graduated from Clemson University with a BS in Civil Engineering and worked in consulting engineering for over 12 years before moving to Spartanburg Water in 1996. He has served as Director of Engineering since 2000.
