Spartanburg Water announces new Director of Collection & Distribution

Spartanburg Water is pleased to announce the promotion of Ronnie Champion to the position of Director of Water Collection and Distribution. In his new role, Ronnie will be responsible for directing and overseeing the operations and maintenance of the company’s water transmission, water distribution, wastewater collection facilities.

Ronnie has been employed at Spartanburg Water since 1982 when he was hired as a Drafter/Inspector for the Engineering Department. Since his hire, he has been promoted several times throughout his tenure. Prior to becoming the Director or Water Collection and Distribution, Ronnie held the position of Collection & Distribution Construction Manager for over 6 years.

Ronnie holds an Associate’s Degree in Civil Engineering Technology from Spartanburg Technical College and studied at Spartanburg Methodist College.
