Tanya Garvis joins Nelson Mullins in Columbia

Tanya L. Garvis has joined Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP in the Columbia office as an associate where she will focus her practice in the areas of commercial, appellate, consumer, and employment litigation.
Ms. Garvis previously served as a senior claims specialist in the construction defect claims group at QBE Insurance Co., where she investigated, evaluated, and resolved construction defect claims. Prior to this, she was a senior analyst on the complex casualty team at American International Group, where she worked primarily on construction defect claims.
Ms. Garvis earned dual Bachelor of Arts and Sciences degrees in International Affairs and Russian from Florida State University with minors in Modern Languages (Chinese) and Business. She earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Florida State University College of Law.
