The Para Firm and Fisher Films team up to promote the local economy with a holiday video campaign

COLUMBIA, SC – October 29, 2012 – The Para Firm, a marketing and design company focused on small and mid-size businesses, has teamed up with Fisher Films, a video production company in downtown Columbia, to produce a video campaign that will highlight local businesses and drum-up some much needed attention for downtown Columbia throughout this holiday season.
These two local companies, owned by young entrepreneurs, are new to the downtown area and are excited to play their part in the local economy. The Para Firm and Fisher Films, both of whom opened offices on downtown Main Street this year, are starting a three piece promotional series to promote local businesses. They will release one video at the end of each month for the next three months. Each video will highlight local businesses and hotspots to give a human face to the owners of the businesses we all know and love, and even introduce us to some businesses that we may not know as well.
This is a chance for The Para Firm and Fisher Films to give back to the community by creating some much appreciated attention for the businesses that are chosen each week. Our three part promo includes holiday stories about businesses in the downtown area as told by the men and women that help build Columbia’s economy every day. The videos will be provided to local media outlets and released through several online platforms as well.
The first video is Halloween themed and showcases a number of the Main Street businesses directly responsible for revitalizing downtown Columbia. These businesses include Frame of Mind, Mast. General Store, the Columbia Museum of Art, the Soda City Farmers Market, and Tapp’s Arts Center. The video will also feature appearances from Capital Places, Hampton Street Vineyard, Paradise Ice, S&S Art Supply, Pia’s Hair Salon, Wine Down on Main Street, and MetLife.
Explaining why they were donating their time to make this video series, Nathan Halydier, CEO at the Para Firm said, “We are dedicated to helping the local economy grow, and we think that this initiative will help bring some much needed attention to some of the local hotspots around town.”
