The Salvation Army opens new Family Store in Irmo

Second Family Store, Same Great Values that Help Our Community
On Friday November 3,2017, families looking for a bargain will have a brand new shopping experience in Irmo as The Salvation Army opens its second Family Store in the Midlands. The community is invited to join the ribbon cutting ceremony Friday, November 3rd at 8:45 a.m. at the store, located at 1341 Dutch Fork Road Irmo, SC 29063. Nathan Ballentine and Chip Huggins will take part in the ceremony, as well as officials from The Salvation Army. After the ribbon cutting the community is invited to enjoy great deals on clothing and household items.
Family Stores are very important to the work of the Salvation Army. The proceeds from sales and donations directly support The Salvation Army’s social services programs that help hundreds of local families within the Midlands. The mission of The Salvation Army is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and meet human needs in His name without discrimination. Because of the generous donations and purchases at the Family Stores, The Salvation Army can fulfill that mission.
“The Salvation of the Midlands is excited to open up our second Family Store that will continue to serve the people and families in need in our community,” said Major Henry Morris. “This store will bring in additional income to fund our social services programs here in the Midlands.”
The Salvation Army Family store in Irmo will be open Monday-Saturday from 9a.m.- 6p.m.
