This Columbia CPA just made a major boomerang, returning to BPS CPAs

Bauknight Pietras & Stormer, P.A., (BPS) announced that Monica Gaddis, CPA, has joined the firm as tax manager. Gaddis has more than two decades of experience consulting with clients on tax issues and strategies, preparing returns and staff development.
Gaddis’ hiring is a homecoming of sorts. She previously worked with BPS from 1999-2004. Prior to rejoining BPS in early January, Gaddis worked with several other accounting firms in the area, building a strong professional network across South Carolina’s Midlands.
Russell Bauknight, managing shareholder of BPS, says Gaddis’ return could not have happened at a better time. “Tax season is ‘crunch time’ for BPS so having a CPA with Monica’s deep and varied experience as a tax consultant and preparer who can hit the ground running i a significant win for us. Gaddis has focused her career as a trusted tax advisor to closely held companies and individuals in a wide range of industries. Her expertise lies in creating individualized, proactive tax strategies to support company growth and enhance income.
A native of Latta, S.C., Gaddis earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting from Francis Marion University. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants (SCACPA). Gaddis is also a past president of the Rotary Club of Five Points in Columbia and a Dale Carnegie graduate.
