Three Metro Chambers partner on virtual statewide leadership exchange

September 28, 2020

The Charleston Metro Chamber is excited to partner with the Columbia and Greenville Chambers on the inaugural SC Leadership Exchange, a four-day, virtual conference where leaders from South Carolina’s three largest metros will come together to have dialogues and build connections across the state.

The conference will facilitate conversations to address issues of common interest to the three communities.

“This is a unique opportunity to bring leaders together to focus on the issues we all face that are driving economic growth across the entire state,” said Bryan Derreberry, Charleston Metro Chamber President and CEO. “We hope that the conference will help our metros create better alignment on these critical issues so that we can jointly impact them in our own communities, in Columbia and on the national stage.”

The Charleston Metro Chamber, Columbia Chamber and Greenville Chamber are joining forces to help build strategies and find solutions around:

  • Creating an equitable South Carolina
  • Housing and infrastructure challenges
  • Economic recovery and resiliency
  • Developing and attracting a diverse and inclusive workforce

Each day will feature a keynote speaker or panel and breakout sessions to promote cross-metro dialogue.  A cross-metro report on the findings of these sessions will be developed to serve as a guide for joint work between the three regions moving forward.
