Timepiece start-up Famiglia Vaglio unveils inaugural collection of watches

Direct to consumer model, philanthropic mission marry local design with Swiss-made quality
With the holiday season having officially commenced, Famiglia Vaglio, a new, local luxury watch brand in Greenville, S.C., has released its first collection of Swiss-made timepieces. On sale now via the company’s website (vagliowatches.com), the two watches comprising the inaugural collection – The Eterno and The Pilota – reflect quality, resourcefulness and the intersection of style and substance.

The Eterno
The Eterno, which, translated from Italian, means “Eternity,” is the first in a series of exclusive collector watches. Limited to only 500 pieces, each Eterno watch will be registered to its owner by Famiglia Vaglio. Classic, formal, with incredible attention to detail, this watch is tough enough to stand up to daily wear, but classic enough to wear into the boardroom or to any occasion where its owner wants to display a touch of sophistication.
The Eterno features Swiss automatic self-winding movement, a polished 316L stainless steel case and sapphire crystal. The watch is 40mm with visible movement, a leather strap, a double butterfly buckle and is rated at five atmospheres. The Eterno timepiece is available for purchase for $585.
The Pilota
The Pilota, which, translated from Italian, means “Pilot or Race Driver,” is a unique new look in sport watches. Matte black throughout and machined in hardened 316L Stainless steel, in daylight it has the look of an ultra-rugged pilot’s watch with the second hand sweeping the outer registers and the hour/minute hands sweeping the inner registers in iridescent blue. At night, the iridescent blue components jump off the face to create a one-of-a-kind look.
This watch is casual, but certainly not common. This sportsman’s timepiece features Swiss made quartz movement and K-1 glass crystal. The Pilota is 40mm, is rated at five atmospheres and costs $195.
A dedicated portion of each sale is donated to established charitable organizations that are connected to the Vaglio team’s personal experiences. These include The Parkinson’s Foundation and The American Cancer Society.
