Tom Sawyer Company joins National Contracting Association

August 5, 2009

COLUMBIA, SC – August 5, 2009 – The Tom Sawyer Company (TSC) has become a member of the Airport Minority Advisory Council (AMAC).  The group is the only national non-profit trade association that promotes the participation of minority-owned, woman-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises in airport contracting.  AMAC strongly believes that the inclusion of more minority-owned and woman-owned businesses in airports around the country makes good business sense and reflects the communities and markets these airports serve.  AMAC and its affiliates represent thousands of members all over the country.  The group’s twenty-year history includes high-level, aviation experience from dedicated professionals in the industry, who volunteer their time to serve as Board and committee members.

TSC President and CEO Carolyn Sawyer says as the industry grows, airports continue to increase and expand, This is our time and our opportunity to go after some of the tremendous amount of dollars generated by the aviation community; construction, procurement, concessions, and other professional services.

Since its inception twenty years ago, AMAC has been at the forefront of almost every national policy initiative that affects the participation of disadvantaged businesses in airport contracting.

The Tom Sawyer Company is one of the Southeast’s fastest growing firms with core competencies in Call Center Communications and Strategic Instructional Training.  If you would like more information about TSC, please call Eddie Parker at (803) 252-8773; email- [email protected].
