Top signs of an alpha man or woman
August 10, 2018By Brian Maynor
Few things are as awe inspiring as an alpha man or woman.
They know exactly what they want, and don’t apologize for going after it with everything in them. While their poise, sense of self, direction and courage balanced with a kind yet firm manner set them apart from everyone else.
Check out these top signs of an alpha and see if you are in their ranks:
1. Always in the spotlight. They just seem to carry the spotlight wherever they go, which can be a good and bad thing. It’s great when they’re in a leadership position, but can be a drawback when in social situations because they tend to steal it from everyone else. It’s not intentional; confidence just demands attention.
2. Lives with purpose. Direction and laser focus means every day is lived with a clear purpose in every aspect of their lives. Goals are more than wishes for alphas; they are defining achievements. This is partly why they pour their heart and souls into everything they do. Setbacks, challenges and frustrations are seen as just part of the process, and not a deterrent to success.
3. Never fears being alone. It doesn’t matter how long the relationship lasted, when it’s over an alpha keeps things moving without looking back. Being alone is not a fear they have because they are confident in their value and aren’t defined by relationships. Not only does being alone free them up to be their most productive, alphas know another relationship will come along.
4. Knows how to love. As self-sufficient as alphas are, they still want love and know how to love unconditionally, faithfully and truly in return. Because they know their self worth, alphas are very careful with their love and only share it with people they find worthy of it.
5. Embraces balance. It’s easy to assume alphas are workaholics, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Alphas understand the importance of balance in all areas of their lives and embrace it. They realize that only by balancing the physical, mental and spiritual aspects of their life can they live it to the fullest.
6. Often misunderstood. There is little society loves more than labels and molds, but alphas never seem to fit into one. They are very secure and committed to their beliefs, opinions and ideas with or without support from anyone else, and are unapologetic about them. Most importantly though, alphas don’t feel the need to change themselves simply because they don’t fit into a mold or label.
Alpha men and women may seem like a rare breed of person born with the keys to success in their DNA, but the truth is we can all become alphas and live a successful life in our truth. We just have to be willing to do it.
