Traffic Advisory: Downtown Underground project update for week of September 18

Spartanburg Water crews continue working the week of September 18 on the water line replacement on Daniel Morgan Avenue between Ezell Street and Henry Street. Harris Place, near the intersection with S. Daniel Morgan Avenue will be closed Monday, September 18, until approximately 5 p.m. Access to area businesses will be maintained and appropriate traffic control will be in place.

A single lane closure of the outside westbound lane on West Henry Street, west of the intersection with South Daniel Morgan Avenue, is anticipated Tuesday, September 19 – Thursday, September 21, 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. Traffic from this lane will be redirected to the inside westbound lane of W. Henry Street while this work is ongoing.  Access to area businesses will be maintained and appropriate traffic control will be in place.

The Greenville Branch sewer interceptor rehabilitation project, the installation of 11,000 feet of sewer line that runs parallel to Greenville Branch Creek, also continues this week. The project spans from the Northside area, crosses sections of downtown Spartanburg and ends on Crescent Avenue. There will be no traffic impacts associated with this project this week.
