Tristan Events Welcomes New Head Chef Brian Deason

Chef Deason brings an international culinary background to the Tristan Events team

 

CHARLESTON, SC Highly recognized for creating unforgettable events with unique and refined cuisine, Tristan Events welcomes a new head chef into the kitchen. Chef Brian Deason, a Johnson & Wales Graduate, has traveled around the world, expanding his culinary knowledge to become the well-rounded chef he is today.

Chef Deason’s culinary journey started with a year studying abroad in the beautiful and appetizing atmosphere of Florence, Italy, followed by a year cooking for the military in Afghanistan and a trip to Southeast Asia, where he expanded his knowledge of Thai cuisine. Before joining the staff at Tristan Events, Chef Deason worked at the Swan and Dolphin Resort in Orlando and did remote site catering in Alaska.

Now settled back in the Lowcountry, Chef Deason draws inspiration from the bounty of fresh produce and local ingredients the community offers. “I’m excited to be back in the Charleston area and look forward to exploring all it has to offer from a culinary standpoint,” says Deason.

Outside of the kitchen, Deason enjoys checking out the local farmers markets, eating at new restaurants, and keeping up with the Charleston cocktail scene, particularly Bourbon.
