United Community Bank awards sales and service champions for fourth quarter

United Announces Fourth Quarter Winners
United Community Bank awarded eight individuals and six branch teams for their outstanding performance during the fourth quarter of 2016. This recognition is part of the bank’s quarterly Sales and Service Champion program.
The following individuals were recognized as top producers in their respective areas for the fourth quarter of 2016:
• Top Financial Advisor: Jay Burkett
Burkett is based in Cleveland, Ga. but also serves the North Georgia region in Gainesville, Murrayville and Oakwood.
• Top Mortgage Producer: Carolyn Swanner
Swanner serves the Hendersonville, N.C. area.
• Top Specialized Lending Producers: Sheila Stolorena and Kim Hellweg
Stolorena is based in Lawrenceville, Ga., and Hellweg serves clients around the country primarily in the veterinary SBA vertical.
• Top Producers in Customer Derivatives: Tom Kutyla and Rick Shepard
Kutyla serves the Mount Pleasant, S.C. market and Shepard is located in Alcoa, Tenn.
United also recognized top performing team members in support functions. The Bank recognized Rita Church, PMO Project Manager, and, Austin Wood, Customer Service Specialist II, with an award of Top Support Staff for their dedication to their respective duties.
The bank’s top six performing branch teams throughout the southeast include offices in DeKalb, Ga. (Embry Hills); Stockbridge, Ga.; Cartersville, Ga.; Clinton, S.C.; Greenville, S.C. (Haywood Road) and Greenville, S.C. (Augusta St.). Locations were awarded trophies for their accomplishments during the fourth quarter.

Top performing individuals and branch teams were honored Jan. 18, 2017 at a Sales and Service Champion luncheon in Hiawassee, Ga. Additionally, one Champion was randomly selected from the group to award a $500 donation to a charity of their choice within their community. This quarter’s winner was Jay Burkett who selected Woodlands Camp, a faith based camp for junior, middle and high school students along with week-long retreats for all ages throughout the year.
