USC Upstate School of Education to Host Open House for Graduate Level Programs

SPARTANBURG, SC – October 20 & 26, 2010 – The University of SouthCarolina Upstate’s School of Education will host two open houses inOctober to share information about its graduate level programs. Thefirst will be held on the USC Sumter Campus on October 20, 2010 from4:00 – 5:30 p.m. in the Schwartz Building, Room 113. The second will beheld on the Spartanburg campus of USC Upstate on October 26, 2010 from4:30 – 6:30 p.m. in the JM Smith Boardroom in the Health EducationComplex.

USC Upstate’s graduate programs in education are designed forcertified teachers who wish to pursue graduate courses leading to amaster’s degree, recertification, certification in an additional area,and courses for professional growth and development. Courses arescheduled to accommodate the busy schedules of working professionals.Classes begin at 4:30 pm. Internet and hybrid courses are alsoavailable. The open house will provide information on the graduateprograms admissions requirements, financial aid, and program of studyframework. It will also highlight the fast-track master’s degreeprograms, a convenient way to earn a master’s degree in early childhoodeducation, elementary education, or special education for the visuallyimpaired in as little as 18 months. School of Education faculty will beat the open houses and will be available to answer questions about theprograms.
