Waldrop Plumbing-Heating-Air promotes Jeff Cothran to Residential General Manager

Jeff Cothran has been promoted to Residential General Manager for Waldrop Plumbing-Heating-Air, the residential operating division of Spartanburg-based Waldrop, Inc. In this role, Cothran is responsible for day-to-day residential operations, including, sales, service, installation, quality assurance and customer relations management.

Waldrop Executive Vice President Jamie Porterfield spoke about Cothran’s long career history with Waldrop. “Jeff has had a stand-out career at Waldrop. After starting out sweeping the shop/warehouse floors in 1978, he quickly worked his way up to installation apprentice, then installation mechanic, followed by comfort specialist, and eventually sales manager. This latest promotion is testament to Jeff’s dedication, strong work ethic and commitment to Waldrop,” said Porterfield.

Cothran has an associate’s degree in Climate Control Technology from Spartanburg Technical College. He is also a graduate of the Nextar Network’s Leadership Mastery course of St. Paul, Minnesota. Cothran is the current chairman of the Spartanburg Chapter of South Carolina Association of Heating and AC Contractors (SCAHACC) and incoming vice president of the statewide association.
