Wild Birds of Laurens County Lecture Postponed to October 15

The Wild Birds of Laurens County lecture by local wildlife expert and photographer Gene Ott, originally scheduled for October 1 at the Laurens County Museum, has been postponed. The event will now take place on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. The Wildlife of Laurens County Photography Exhibit, featuring Ott’s stunning nature photography, will still open in early October but not on the originally planned date of October 1.

The Laurens County Museum is excited to showcase the work of Edwin Eugene (Gene) Ott, whose photographs highlight the incredible diversity of wildlife in the region. Ott, a celebrated photographer and naturalist, focuses on the vibrant bird species, reptiles, and mammals native to Laurens County.

The exhibit at the museum located at 116 South Public Square in Laurens, SC, invites visitors to immerse themselves in the natural beauty of the area. Ott’s special lecture on October 15 will offer an in-depth look at the bird species of Laurens County, providing a unique educational experience for wildlife enthusiasts and nature lovers alike.
