WOW! donates to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Charleston to support families in time of need

WOW! Internet, Cable & Phone has signed on as a laundry room sponsor of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Charleston to help families who must travel for their children’s medical treatment.
Last year, the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Charleston was a ‘Home-away-from-home’ for 858 families of critically ill children being treated at Charleston area hospitals. Our 32-bedroom home offered these families’ comfortable beds, hot meals, laundry rooms, a four-legged friend, Gardy, and a caring stall all just steps from the hospital.
“We are honored to have the opportunity to give back to the families here at the Ronald McDonald House,” said Nick Moorehead, local Charleston Operations Director for WOW!. “To be able to come in and provide support in making families’ lives a little easier in a time of need is something we’re proud to be a part of.”
To announce WOW!’s donation, the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Charleston will hold a ribbon cutting at the house on February 28th at 12:00p. After the ceremony, WOW! employees in Charleston will prepare and serve lunch for families currently staying at the Ronald McDonald House.
