YWCA announces 2024 What Women Bring Honorees

Join YWCA Greater Charleston as they announce their 2024 What Women Bring (#WWB) Honorees at a press conference on Tuesday, August 6 at 11 a.m. at the Trident Technical College’s conference center on Rivers Avenue.

Nine of South Carolina’s women leaders across a multitude of industries will take the stage at YWCA Greater Charleston’s seventh annual What Women Bring (#WWB) event at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 25, 2024.

The honorees will answer questions from event emcees Octavia Mitchell, award-winning anchor at WCBD News 2, and Ann McGill, award-winning anchor at WCSC Live 5 News. Discussions will explore various topics, including the honorees’ current projects and roles, their efforts to empower women and combat racism in their communities, their passions, and much more.

Attendees will have networking and photo opportunities, including professional headshots, thirty minutes prior to the start of the two-hour event. The event will be held at Trident Technical College’s Conference Center at Thornley Campus, 7000 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, S.C. 29406.

This annual event raises funds to support all YWCA Greater Charleston’s programs and events empowering women and girls, enabling programs such as WE 360° for women entrepreneurs of color, SheStrong for young women in high school, and Y Girls Code for girls of color to be offered at no cost to participants.

A limited number of individual tickets, if available, will go on sale in mid-September. Virtual tickets are on sale now. A virtual component will be available for those attending from outside the Charleston region or on the waitlist.
