As Independence Day approaches, Laurens County is gearing up for a trio of spectacular events to celebrate the Fourth of July. From family-friendly activities and parades to live music and fireworks, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Mark your calendars and plan on attending these patriotic and festive celebration!

Freedom Fest 2024 in Laurens – July 3rd

Kicking off the holiday festivities, Freedom Fest 2024 will take place at City Hall Stage starting at 3:00 PM on July 3rd. If it’s anything like last year, this event promises a delightful mix of delicious food, craft vendors, and a Kidzone filled with fun activities for the little ones. The event lineup is packed with fantastic entertainment:

  • DAVIDSON BRASS BAND: 6:00 PM
  • TRIBUTE TO OUR FORCES & VETERANS: 6:30 PM
  • BOWLING FOR SOUP: 8:30 PM
  • FIREWORKS!: 10:00 PM

Bring your family and friends to enjoy an afternoon and evening of music, food, and festivities, culminating in a dazzling firework display that will light up the night sky.

Whitten Center Parade – Clinton – July 3rd

Whitten Center in Clinton is hosting its annual Independence Day Parade on July 3rd at 1:30 PM. If you’d like to participate in the parade, please reach out to Stella Akoto at [email protected] or call 864-938-3332. Spectators are welcome to line the parade route but be sure to bring a chair for a comfortable view of the festivities. Arrive by 1:00 PM to catch all the action as the parade begins at 1:30 PM.

Lights on the Lake – Lake Greenwood – July 6th

For those looking to extend their Fourth of July celebrations, the “Lights on the Lake” event at Lake Greenwood is not to be missed. Hosted at Fellowship Camp & Conference Center on Saturday, July 6th, from 4:00 PM to 10:30 PM, this event is free, but registration is required. Gates open at 3:00 PM, so arrive early to secure your spot.

Enjoy live performances by The Jake Bartley Band, A Month of Mondays, and The Moore Junction Band. The event also features food and refreshment vendors, and the evening will culminate in breathtaking fireworks show.
