First Presbyterian Church (PCUSA) community in Clinton, is on the lookout for a dynamic individual to step into the role of Director of Christian Education. This exciting opportunity invites a creative and inspiring leader to join the vibrant community on a part-time basis, dedicating 20 to 25 hours per week to nurturing the spiritual growth of all ages.

As the Director of Christian Education, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the spiritual journey of the community members, fostering an environment of growth and connection.

Supervised by the Christian Education Committee and Senior Pastor

Reporting directly to the Christian Education Committee and the Senior Pastor of First Presbyterian Church, the Director of Christian Education will oversee a spectrum of educational initiatives catering to all age groups—from preschoolers to adults. This role requires a passion for Christian education ministry and the ability to serve as a guiding light for the community.

Responsibilities and Expectations

The Director of Christian Education will spearhead various ministries, including but not limited to Sunday School, Youth Fellowship Groups, Vacation Bible School, and seasonal intergenerational activities. The goal is to engage individuals of all ages, facilitating their spiritual development and fostering a sense of community within the church.

Qualifications and Requirements

While a college degree is preferred, equivalent work experience in church ministry will also be considered. The church seeks an individual with a demonstrated commitment to Christian education and a passion for building meaningful relationships with all age groups.
