Laurens County Voters Return to Polls for June 25 Runoff Elections

It’s been a quick two weeks since the June 11 Primary, and now, on Tuesday, June 25, voters in Laurens County will return to the polls. Every vote counts, as demonstrated by the County Council District 7 race that ended in a literal tie.

Early voting for the runoff was held from Wednesday, June 19, through Friday, June 21. According to Lynne West, director of voter registration and elections for Laurens County, 677 people voted during the early voting period for the runoff, compared to 1,530 in the primary.

For those who have not yet voted, it’s important to check your sample ballot at scVOTES.gov to see the offices in which you are eligible to vote, as some voters will not have a runoff.
