South Carolina ETV series “What’s Wild” receives Southeast Emmy® Award

The South Carolina ETV series What’s Wild received an Emmy® Award from the Regional Southeast Emmy® Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS). Winners were announced on June 15 at the 2024 Southeast Regional Emmy® Awards held at the Grand Hyatt in Buckhead Atlanta. Four SCETV programs were nominated for these prestigious awards.
The ”Threatened Species” episode of What’s Wild won the Emmy® Award in the “Environment/Science – Long Form Content” category. What’s Wild is produced and edited by Charles Dymock. In addition to What’s Wild, Dymock also produces the digital series, From the Sky, where he showcases the beauty of nature and other marvels of the Palmetto State with aerial drone footage. In addition to Dymock, Desireé Cheeks and Colin McCawley accepted the award on behalf of the network.
NATAS sets the standards for excellence in the television broadcasting industry and holds the honor of presenting The Prime Time Emmy® Awards and the Daytime Emmy® Awards.
The Regional Southeast Emmy® Chapter is one of 19 chapters throughout the United States identifying and celebrating television excellence at the local and regional levels. The Southeast Chapter represents television professionals from all disciplines of the industry and from markets in Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, South Carolina and North Carolina.
