Phase II of Haywood Road underground project set to begin

May 5, 2016

GREENVILLE, SC – Weather permitting, on Monday, May 9, the City of Greenville and Duke Energy will begin work on a construction project to bury the overhead utility lines on Haywood Road between I-385 and Woods Crossing Road. The scope of work will include installation of an electrical duct bank system and new mast arm traffic signal systems at the two entrances to Haywood Mall. Construction is expected to be completed by October 2016.

While every effort will be made to minimize the impact to traffic flow in this vicinity, and most lane closures and lane shifts will take place between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m., motorists traveling in and around this area are urged to use caution and to be aware of traffic control signage and flagmen at all times.
