Renewable Water Resources Receives National Certification of Biosolids Environmental Management System

GREENVILLE, SC – January 19, 2012 – The National Biosolids Partnership (NBP), an alliance of the National Association of Clean Water Agencies (NACWA) and Water Environment Federation (WEF) with advisory support from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), recognizes Renewable Water Resources in Greenville, SC as the 33rd organization and first in South Carolina to be certified and admitted to the Partnership’s environmental management system (EMS) for biosolids program.
As the 33rd organization certified and admitted into the NBP EMS program, Renewable Water Resources achievement recognizes that the organization has been independently verified as having an effective biosolids environmental management system. Renewable Water Resources biosolids EMS was independently verified on October 28, 2011 by the audit firm, NSF-International Strategic Registrations, to conform to the NBP’s EMS guidance. The EMS verification signifies that Renewable Water Resources meets the requirements for certification and admittance to the NBP EMS program and supports excellence in biosolids management practices, exceeds or augments regulatory compliance obligations, and provides meaningful opportunities for public participation.
