Arnold Companies announces the grand opening of West End Alley

COLUMBIA, SC – Arnold Companies is pleased to announce the redevelopment of 700 Gervais Street in Columbia, South Carolina. Home to Tin Lizzy’s Cantina, City Bar and Tsunami, this entertainment complex has been renovated and rebranded as “West End Alley,” named after the West Gervais location and the new alleyway that provides better connectivity and outdoor dining.

The redevelopment began in the 2^nd quarter of 2015. Major changes include a new exterior façade to the front of the building facing Gervais Street, a new stamped sidewalk that connects the front entrance on Gervais Street to the back parking lot behind 700 Gervais, the addition of covered outdoor seating in the alleyway and new lighting and landscaping.

The project was completed in January 2016, and new tenants include Tin Lizzy’s Cantina, an Atlanta-based restaurant specializing in fun food with unique TexMex flavors, and a new martini bar and fondue restaurant called City Bar, offering unique cocktail concoctions as well as a fondue-style menu.  There is 3,338 SF remaining in Suite B-1 and the Arnold Companies has no doubt they will soon be releasing the name of an exciting new tenant. It is the perfect location for a restaurant who wants to be in the heart of this lively entertainment center, a stone’s throw away from the Columbia Convention Center and within walking distance to the many hotels and new residential projects now opening in The Vista.

The Grand Opening Event for West End Alley will take place Thursday, May 12th at 5:30 pm. Along with celebrating this redevelopment, the Arnold family will be unveiling a new sculpture they will be dedicating to the City of Columbia. The new sculpture was designed and built by Stephen Gamson, a Miami-based artist who has created other public pieces of art for the Arnolds in the past.  The new sculpture will sit at the entrance of West End Alley and will be symbolic of the Vista’s West Gervais corridor, “where rivers and people come together in perfect harmony.”
