Will provide administrative support and office management for the Office of Student Involvement and all programs and services provided by the office including Campus Programs, Fraternity & Sorority Life, Leadership Programs, Multicultural Programs, Registered Student Organizations, Volunteer Services, and other Student Involvement programs.
•Assists with support of student organizations, including the annual registration process, space reservations and food requests. Assist with training student organizations on related topics.
•Process travel documents and make travel arrangements for staff, advisors, and students, as directed.
•Responsible for hiring, training, supervising, and scheduling student assistants.
•Administrative Assistant to the Associate Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs and Associate Director of Student Involvement, screens mail, calls and visitors. Schedules appointments and meetings for the Associate Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs and Associate Director of Student Involvement. Offers administrative support to Associate Directors, Assistant Directors, and Graduate Assistants.
•Monitors expenditures & balances of over 60 accounts within the department. Responsible for purchasing processes of student organizations and other accounts directly related to the office. Approves expenditures based on budget. Receipts and deposits funds into student organization and department accounts.
•Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Supports additional Student Involvement and Student Affairs events, as directed.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of work experience that is directly related to the area of employment, or high school diploma and 6 years work experience that is directly related to the area of employment; or equivalency. Requires valid driver’s license and good driving record. Successful background check is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with fiscal management, basic accounting principles and Microsoft office are strongly preferred.
Salary: $31,107 – $33,978; Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
