New York Instructor Provides Personalized Fitness Instruction

CHAPIN, SC – With a new year comes the inevitable resolution to lose weight and stay in shape, and one New York native is providing an option unlike the big box fitness chains you may have tried in the past. Kerry Elsasser has opened Level 2 Cycling, a Spinning® studio, at 223 Columbia Avenue in Chapin.

As the sole owner, Elsasser promises a fitness experience that patrons will not find anywhere else. “Level 2 Cycling is different because we don’t just care about whether our clients get a good workout,” she says. “We also want them to have a great time while they’re here. Our goal is to show people that they can enjoy the process of getting fit. Reaching their fitness goals within a month or two will feel like an added bonus.”

Membership for Level 2 Cycling is $85/month, but classes are also offered on an individual basis and in packs of 5, 10, or 20. Class times vary with early morning classes beginning at 5:30AM and night classes as late as 6:30PM. Classes are offered every day of the week including Saturdays and Sundays. Members and guests can expect each class to last 45 minutes. The workout begins light and easy and gets progressively more challenging up until mid-way through where it will hold steady until the cool down. Rides are music-driven; meaning the bass and tempo of the song help to indicate pedal speed and intensity of resistance.

Elsasser says that anyone, no matter his or her fitness goals or current status, can benefit from Level 2 Cycling. “This exercise regimen is ideal because all fitness levels can workout together and benefit from the group dynamic, but each rider has the ability to increase or decrease the size of the imaginary hill in front of him. We never compete. In fact, we carry each other through the hard parts.”
