Innovative marketing – Marketing through others
June 1, 2014By Jerry Bellune
Clint Greenleaf runs a small book publishing house.
Clint has just published his new book for children, “Give, Save and Spend with the Three Little Pigs.”
Clint’s book teaches children to handle money.
He wants them to see that:
• Running a business is noble and benefits others.
• Working is good and creates independence.
• With wealth comes freedom and responsibility.
Not many kids under 12 are even interested.
Parents, banks and non-profits are.
Parents are interested for obvious reasons.
They buy books for their kids but that’s a small sale.
Banks can buy books in bulk.
They can give them to kids who set up new accounts.
Non-profits can buy them to give to donors.
Donors can use them to teach their kids about charity.
All could encourage giving, saving and wise spending.
His Parent’s Guide offers three piggy banks.
Kids can mark the banks with:
• A charity logo on the Give bank.
• A bank logo on the Save bank.
• A toy on the Spend bank.
Clint offers the piggy banks with his books.
Banks can put their logo on the banks.
Non-profits can do that, too.
Clint isn’t selling to kids.
He sells to those who want to reach kids.
This allows him to sell in greater quantities.
This is a strategy we can use to sell through others.
We know who our Ideal Clients are.
Our goal is to find others who want to sell them, too.
My challenge to you today is to figure out:
• Who else wants to attract your Ideal Clients?
• What can you offer them to help them do this?
• What offers might you test to see which works best?
A reminder
We become who we associate with.
Our values influence them. Theirs influence us.
You’ll find like-minded people at our VIP Club.
It’s at 9:45 a.m. Friday, June 13 at Cafe Strudel.
We will discuss how to fascinate our Ideal Clients.
