LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) design is an environmentally-friendly method which incorporates design and construction practices that significantly reduce or eliminate the negative impact of buildings on the environment and occupants. The LEED® Green Building Rating System is organized into five environmental categories: Sustainable Sites, Water Efficiency, Energy & Atmosphere, Materials & Resources, and Indoor Environmental Quality. Sustainable buildings supported by LEED® are quickly becoming a demanded factor in today’s world of design. The LEED® system was developed and is administrated by the U.S. Green Building Council; it promotes and guides comprehensive and whole-building integrated design.
