GSP begins phase two of roadway and parking improvements

May 8, 2020

Parking lot and roadway improvement projects continue at Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP). Beginning on Monday, May 11, 2020, visitors to GSP will notice a change to the road closures previously announced for Aviation Parkway. Roadway lanes between I-85 and GSP Drive will be shifted to allow for Phase 2 of improvements to begin. At least one lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained throughout the project. Travelers are encouraged to closely monitor directional signage when entering and exiting the airport.

Work on the PARC @ GSP (Parking and Roadway Construction) program began on January 27, 2020 and is expected to be completed in the fall of 2020. Roadway improvements include repair and resurfacing of all lanes on Aviation Parkway between I-85 and GSP Drive, the construction of a roundabout traffic circle leading to a new 1,500-space Economy Parking Lot C and the development of a new employee parking lot.
