K&L Gates names W. Ford Graham as partner in their Charleston office

The partners of global law firm K&L Gates LLP have voted to elect the following lawyers from across the United States, Asia, Australia, and the Middle East as new partners of the firm, effective this week. The group comprises 31 lawyers from across seven different practice areas and 17 offices, including Boston, Charleston, Charlotte, Chicago, Doha, Houston, Los Angeles, Melbourne, Miami, New York, Pittsburgh, Raleigh, Research Triangle Park, San Francisco, Seattle, Singapore, and Washington, D.C.

Ryan Groshong (Seattle) advises employers on a range of labor and employment issues, including hiring, discipline, termination, discrimination, harassment, and wage and hour matters, among others.

Amy Conant Hoang (Washington, D.C.) provides government contract and procurement policy counsel to clients in the defense, information technology, and professional services industries throughout the various stages of operations.

Matthew Houston (Raleigh and Charlotte) focuses on the litigation and resolution of complex commercial disputes, with an emphasis on contract disputes, commercial tort cases, and real estate disputes.

Michael Hutson (Charlotte) advises clients in the life sciences, financial and business services, and manufacturing industries on securities, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and general corporate matters.

Kelsey Jernigan (Research Triangle Park) advises hospitals, health systems, and other health care providers on health care regulatory and transactional law matters.

Jian Jiang (Chicago) advises on the protection of intellectual property, including the prosecution of U.S. and non-U.S. patent applications in a range of industries.

Olivia Kelman (Miami) counsels on financial institutions and services litigation, compliance, and enforcement matters, with a concentration on fair and responsible lending and servicing.

Henry Kim (Singapore) advises on cross-border, multi-jurisdictional disputes arising out of commodities trading, shipping, energy, and power projects.

Phil Lee (New York) advises on M&A and private equity transactions, representing strategic and private equity clients in a variety of domestic and cross-border transactions.

Dennis Majewski (Chicago) focuses on patent prosecution, product clearances, non-infringement investigations, and other IP matters.

Benjamin Mayer (Seattle) assists public and private clients with navigating federal and state environmental cleanup and land use laws and regulations.

Joseph McClendon (Chicago) counsels on technology transactions, privacy and data security, and intellectual property.

Aaron Millstein (Seattle) focuses on litigation at the trial and appellate levels in various matters, including municipal law, trademarks and copyrights, contracts, and real property.

Nicole Mueller (Chicago) concentrates on federal and state securities litigation, as well as litigation arising out of M&A and other corporate governance matters.

Laurén Murray (Pittsburgh) concentrates her IP practice on patent preparation and prosecution before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for both utility and design applications.

Scott Nelson (Washington, D.C., and Portland) advises clients on complex federal policy issues, including risk mitigation and tax provisions of the Affordable Care Act, internal provisions and elements impacting trade, and various environmental, energy, and infrastructure finance policy issues.

Kathleen Parker (Boston) counsels international and domestic businesses on various employment issues.

Paweł Piotrowski (Doha) counsels on public procurement matters, with a focus on engineering, procurement, and construction contracts and public-private partnerships, among other agreements.

Barrett Price (Charlotte) counsels multinational public and private companies, private equity sponsors, and financial institutions on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and leveraged buyouts.

Saman Rejali (Los Angeles) represents management in employment-related litigation and advises on matters including terminations, discrimination, wage and hour, leaves, employment policies, restrictive covenants, and trade secrets, among other issues.

Justin Roeber (New York) represents individual and corporate entities in a broad range of commercial litigation and business disputes at the trial and appellate levels.
