Provides office administrative support to Office of Student Services and coordinates student related functions and activities for the Associate Dean and Student Services Coordinators at the George Dean Johnson Jr. College of Business and Economics. Reports directly to the Associate Dean.
• Manages, sets standards, and maintains high quality proactive student customer service in all interactions of the JCBE Student Services Office; Serves as the first line of contact for students in the JCBE; Enthusiastically interacts with students in providing information concerning student policies and procedures of the JCBE and USC Upstate. Liaises with relevant college and university administrative staff.
• Creates, maintains, and manages secure, confidential, detailed and accurate JCBE student electronic academic records. Processes student-related forms. Enters advisor and faculty mentor assignments in Banner ERP system. Maintains JCBE student upper-division application records.
• Supports the JCBE student course registration process, including removing relevant registration holds and assisting students in the registration process. Monitors advisement forms for pre-requisite and other errors.
• Supports JCBE associate dean, department chairs, professional advisors, career advisor and faculty regarding student records, transfer credit evaluations, change of major evaluations, and student communications (sent from the Office of the Dean). Supports the Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
• Supports JCBE graduate programs, students and faculty, with administrative support for admissions, advising, and registration activities. Troubleshoots and problem solves for students relative to college and university policies, procedures, and processes.
• Assist with integrating new systems/technology JCBE into the front office operations and performs other duties as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma and 1 year of work experience that is directly related to the area of employment; or equivalency. A successful background check is required.

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in an academic environment. Prefer extensive computer literacy

Salary: $37,735 – $44,055; Salary commensurate with education and experience.
