A Pop-Up Quilts of Valor Sewing Day Tuesday, July 16

A special day of learning and helping is coming Tuesday for those wanting to learn the basics of quilting while honoring our veterans. There will be a “Quilts of Valor Sewing Day” at the Laurens County Museum this Tuesday, July 16, 9:30 AM until 1:30 pm. This event is free and open to all who quilt and those who would like to learn. The quilts made that day will be given as “Quilts of Valor” to those touched by war who are serving and have served in the United States Armed Forces.
Come watch. Come learn. Come help!  The “Quilts of Valor Sewing Day” is complementary to the “Historic Quilts of Laurens County” exhibit. Amazing examples of the handwork and artistry of Laurens County seamstresses is on display until August 31.
