Alexandra Chastain of Abacus Planning Group earns Family Business Advising Certificate

Alexandra (Alex) Chastain of Abacus Planning Group earned the Certificate in Family Business Advising (CFBA) from the Family Firm Institute’s Global Education Network (FFI GEN).

The Global Education Network is a non-profit association whose mission is to educate, connect and inspire professionals, academics, educators, and family members who serve family businesses and families of wealth worldwide. Founded in 1988, the Family Firm Institute connects nearly 2,000 members globally with conferences, events, study groups, and publications to further its mission.

Alex graduated from the University of South Carolina with a BA in Finance in 1997. She joined Abacus at its inception in 1998 and earned her CFP® designation in 2004.

As Chief Planning Officer, Alex coordinates the creation, research and implementation of strategies and processes that will enhance the overall wealth of Abacus’s clients. Alex is one of six Abacus shareholders.
