A Conversation with Jacqueline Haynes, Acceleration Schools

December 1, 2022

Jacqueline Haynes is the associate superintendent for Acceleration Schools – a multi-year initiative designed to enhance student learning and support teachers as they help students fully prepare for the next grade level.

Jacqueline is working with 14 Charleston County schools to help equip each student with the skills and confidence to thrive in and out of the classroom.

Acceleration Schools follows four guiding principles: exceptional people, rigorous content and instruction, community partnership, and school transformation.

Jacqueline has over 19 years of experience working with schools and supporting teachers as they build the next generation of leaders and can speak to the importance of equity in the classroom, how climate and culture are important to a school’s success, how presenting students with real-world problems can help contribute to their success, and more.
