Alliance Consulting Engineers, Inc.

Engineering is all about people-oriented problem solving, says Deepal Eliatamby, founder of Alliance Consulting Engineers, Inc.,You have to take into consideration the end user when coming up with engineering solutions.

Founded 5 years ago, this philosophy has helped propel Alliance Consulting Engineers to the top tier of engineering firms in the Midlands – currently, it is the 4th largest firm. The company has experienced  rapid growth expanding from 5 original employees to over 40. They have completed large-scale projects in 44 of the state’s 46 counties of South Carolina and the firm has been engaged both across the United States and internationally.

Alliance Consulting Engineers, Inc. is a multi-disciplined civil engineering firm providing technical consulting services to County Governments, Municipalities, Developers, Industry, School Districts, Healthcare Providers, Architects and other private entities across South Carolina.

It’s a great time to be investing

in infrastructure projects

so that we will be ready to

capitalize on opportunities

when the economy turns around.

For Eliatamby, the key to its success has centered on constant reinforcement of the company’s core values: responsiveness, quality, and value. The firm is  committed to developing a culture of excellent customer service and instilling this vision in its employees.

Using traditional business practices combined with state of the art engineering  technology, we pride ourselves on being responsive to our clients while still bringing quality results, says Eliatamby. The quality of our work is second to none.

As the time between the original conception of a project and permitting has become shorter and shorter, engineering firms have had to adjust to the increased expectations of their clients.

Economic development is an extremely competitive industry, and we understand that our business partners and customers are relying on us for quick, accurate responses that can make or break a prospect’s decision to locate in this state, says Eliatamby.

For Eliatamby, investment in infrastructure is essential for our future. Safe bridges, clean drinking water, safe disposable wastewater, schools, hospitals, roads, and the continued expansion of the Port of Charleston are all critical to the long-term success of this state.

The American Society of Civil Engineers has recommended 2.2 Trillion dollars in needed infrastructure investment in this country over the next 5 years, says Eliatamby. It’s a great time to be investing in infrastructure projects so that we will be ready to capitalize on opportunities when the economy turns around.

Alliance Consulting Engineers, Inc. has been actively involved in the development of industrial sites across the state. It designed a Mega Industrial Park along I-95 being developed by Clarendon, Lee, Sumter and Williamsburg counties that is the largest Certified Site on I-95. Other projects include a 2 million square foot distribution facility for QVC in Florence  county and a 2.1 million square foot distribution  center for Adidas in Spartanburg County. Alliance is also doing the 500-acre, rail-served industrial park at I-77 and I-26 in Lexington County.

The site in Lexington County will totally transform the economy of Lexington County, says Eliatamby.

Despite higher upfront capital costs, Alliance’s customers are increasingly showing an interest in LEED® certified and low impact development (LID) to minimize  the impact that the construction processes will have on the environment. Government and universities in particular have taken a more long-term approach to building and have mandated that certain components of their projects have a sustainable component to their design.

For Eliatamby, or for any engineer for that matter, it brings an enormous sense of pride to drive down a highway and see projects that his company has worked on.

Engineering is in everyone’s blood; we all start building things with Lego when we are little. We are proud of our contributions to the engineering community in  South Carolina, says Eliatamby. Alliance will continue to build a strong presence here in the Midlands and over the next five years we look to expand our footprint.

It gives us all here at Alliance Consulting Engineers a great sense of pride to help our clients come up with solutions to help solve their problems. It’s a people  business and we love bring people together to achieve something great.
