American Advertising Federation of the Midlands to host annual local art auction

The American Advertising Federation (AAF) of the Midlands will host their annual Kickoff & Art Auction featuring local Midlands artists on Thursday, August 22 at City Market Place (705B Gervais Street, Columbia, SC 29201) from 5:30 PM – 8:00 PM. The free event will benefit local artists and the AAF of the Midlands’ 2019-2020 programming and mission—“to protect and advance advertising interests and education.”

More than 10 local artists will be featured, including Sean McGuiness, Abstract Alexandra, Alicia Leeke, Karl Heinmiller, Mari Brittingham, Chrissy Hutchinson, Jester Jean Burton and Jean Bourque.

Some of the programming that this event will benefit will be the organization’s monthly professional development luncheons, “Life After Work” evening networking events, an Oyster Roast which includes a media auction, and the American Advertising Awards which recognizes and honors advertising creatives in the Midlands.
