Bennett to receive Compleat Lawyer Award

Rogers Townsend & Thomas, PC, is pleased to announce that shareholder Joshua A. Bennett is one of three lawyers selected to receive a Silver Compleat Lawyer award from the University of South Carolina School of Law. He will be recognized with other honorees on April 19 in Columbia.
Josh focuses his practice on complex litigation and insurance defense matters, with an emphasis on construction litigation, products liability, toxic tort/personal injury, commercial explosives, professional negligence, and other related areas.
He serves on the Board of Directors for The Family Shelter and Town Theatre, is a South Carolina Bar Foundation Ambassador, and is a past graduate of Leadership Columbia and Leadership South Carolina. Josh and his family attend First Baptist Church of Columbia where he serves as a Deacon.
Josh was selected to the American Bar Association’s “On the Rise – Top 40 Young Lawyers” in 2017. He was also honored with a “Top 10 Capital Young Professionals” award (Columbia Metropolitan Magazine) and was named one of the “Best & Brightest Under 35” (Columbia Business Monthly). In 2016, Josh was recognized by The State Newspaper as one of the Midlands’ “20 Under 40”.
The Compleat Lawyer Awards were established in 1992 by the University of South Carolina School of Law Alumni Council (formerly the Alumni Association) to recognize alumni for outstanding civic and professional accomplishments. Recipients are individuals who have made significant contributions to the legal profession and exemplify the highest standards of professional competence, ethics and integrity.
