Central Carolina Community Foundation Hosts Free Will Planning Workshops

February 2, 2015

Central Carolina Community Foundation, in partnership with their Agency fundholders, is hosting Will University on various dates throughout February and March. Will University is an interactive workshop that addresses the importance of having a will, how to prepare a will and find an attorney to help you and common mistakes to avoid when creating a will. This year’s workshop will be led by estate planning professionals Erin A. Cook, J.D. L.L.M with Estate Planning of SC, LLC and Stephanie Y. Vokral, CFP ® AIF ® with Critical Transitions Wealth Advisors.

Amazingly, only 44 percent of Americans have a will.  Frequently, people feel they don’t have enough wealth or own enough property to require planning for their future. However, there is no better time than the present to get started. Creating a will ensures that our loved ones are protected and provided for after we are gone.

The will planning workshops are free of charge but advance registration is recommended. Refreshments will be served. The workshops are from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm on the following dates:

• February 17, in partnership with Women In Philanthropy, at Agape Conference Center, 1624 Main Street, Columbia, SC 29201
• March 3, in partnership with Sexual Trauma Services of the Midlands, at 3830 Forest Drive, Suite 201, Columbia, SC 29204
• March 24, in partnership with Saluda Shoals Foundation, at Saluda Shoals Park, River Center, 5605 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212
