Charleston Metro Chamber launches Chamber Ties campaign

November 7, 2022

Initiating, advocating and empowering our region to advance a prosperous business environment is the mission of the Charleston Metro Chamber. Dedicated members and the work they do are critical to the Chamber serving its mission. The Chamber is excited to announce the launch of their Chamber Ties campaign, which highlights small moments that lead to big impact and features five videos of members telling their story and the impact the Chamber has had on their lives.

“Chamber Ties is an exciting opportunity to showcase our members and their stories,” said Erin Aylor, Senior Vice President of Marketing for the Charleston Metro Chamber. “Our members are the catalyst to the Chamber’s impact. We look forward to continuing to be a part of our members’ journeys to ensure every type of business has the opportunity to thrive in our region.”

Andrew Vela, Owner of AV8 Photography, joined a Charleston Young Professionals happy hour, which led him to gaining his first customer in the Charleston area and now celebrates the fact that over 80% of his business comes from being a Chamber member.

Kellye McKenzie, MBA participant and Co-Founder of Goodstock Consulting LLC, and Bea Wray, MBA Coach, Author and Speaker, thought they were meeting for the first time through the Chamber’s MBA program, but instead, found out they knew way more about each other than they thought!

Elizabeth Burwell, Senior Vice President of the Charleston market with First National Bank of PA, began her Chamber journey with Charleston Young Professionals and currently serves on many of the Chamber’s committees. Her leadership journey continues to grow with the Chamber’s Board of Directors.

Jay McMurphy, General Manager with Firefly Distillery, and David Stasiukaitis, Owner of Low Country Case & Millwork, met through the Chamber and soon developed a working relationship that led to Low Country Case & Millwork earning an international architecture award for the construction of the new Firefly Distillery headquarters in North Charleston.

Marlena Davis, an HR professional in the Charleston region, attended the Chamber’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Conference and connected with Chamber staff about ways she can retain employees and find qualified talent.
