Colliers awarded real estate management services for prominent Columbia downtown building, The Meridian

Colliers has been selected as the new Real Estate Management Services (REMS) provider for The Meridian, one of Columbia’s most well-known and successful office towers located at 1320 Main Street.

Colliers’ Cheryl Love will oversee the management of the building as Senior Property Manager, supported by three of the property’s current on-site personnel who have joined Colliers to continue providing best-in-class service for tenants. Cheryl Love has more than 25 years of experience providing physical and financial management for a variety of property types including Class A office buildings and parking garages in Columbia.

Yelissa Motta has joined Colliers as Assistant Property Manager. In this role she will assist with the day-to-day building operations and provide exceptional customer service to tenants.

Lee Lane will remain as the Chief Building Engineer, wherein he will continue providing oversight and management of the building’s maintenance operations and control systems.

John Ciarcia will continue providing maintenance service as a Maintenance Technician with Colliers. His familiarity with the building and tenants will provide essential continuity in the property’s upkeep.

Tommy Johnson, SIOR, Vice President of Colliers | South Carolina and office specialist, will continue as brokerage representative for the property.

The Meridian is a ±335,085-square-foot Class A office building with upscale architectural design, a two-story lobby and contemporary finishes located in the heart of Columbia’s central business district. The 17-story tower is situated just one block from the State Capitol building and a few blocks from the University of South Carolina’s main campus. It offers tenants a modern and comfortable office setting with on-site amenities including attached parking, spacious conference suites, kitchen and break areas, an on-site fitness center and more.

The building’s first level features the well-known restaurant, Market on Main, with a gourmet kitchen, full bar, specialty market and unique, one-of-a-kind outdoor patio seating. Tenants and employees of the building also enjoy convenient access to downtown Columbia’s shops, top-rated hotels and diverse dining options within walking distance.

The building is currently 90% occupied by 31 tenants and has ±22,000 square feet available for lease. Colliers’ Tommy Johnson is one of the top office brokers in the Columbia market and has been instrumental in maintaining the building’s high occupancy rate for the past several years. He will continue providing brokerage services for the building and is actively pursuing the right tenants to fill the property’s current available suites.
