Colonial Center Hires New Assistant General Manager

COLUMBIA, SC – July 8, 2008 – Global Spectrum, Management Company of the Colonial Center, has hired Shashank Gairola as the Assistant General Manager. Gariola’s responsibilities at the 18,000-seat arena will include overseeing event services, the box office, group sales, booking events and day-to-day operations. Gairola joins the team after his time as Assistant General Manager at the Liacouras Center on the campus of Temple University in Philadelphia.

Gariola brings experience in facility management with Global Spectrum. Gariola started out in the industry working in event management at the Wachovia Center & Spectrum in Philadelphia. There, he also worked with the Philadelphia 76ers, Flyers and Soul. He has worked on projects such as the Police stadium show at Citizen Bank Stadium, implementing a security ID system with his staff and renovating suites at the Liacouras Center.
