Countybank Foundation donates $1,000 to rebuild Upstate

April 16, 2024

The Countybank Foundation, established in 1971 representing Countybank and Greenwood Capital, donated $1,000 to Rebuild Upstate. Rebuild Upstate focuses on home preservation and repair to keep residents in their own homes.

This year Leadership Greenville Class 50 is partnering with Rebuild Upstate to build four ramps for disabled residents in the local community. In response, Ron Acker, Professional and Executive Banker for Countybank and a member of Leadership Greenville Class 50, saw an opportunity for Countybank and Greenwood Capital to provide additional support to the nonprofit. The donation will provide funds to help finance the project.

“Leadership Greenville Class 50 looks forward to building ramps for homeowners with mobility issues to help them maintain their accessibility, freedom, and independence,” said Acker. “Countybank and Greenwood Capital’s donation will enable us to purchase the supplies we need in order to build the ramps.”

“This Leadership Greenville project is a great example of how donations of time, energy, and funds will directly impact four different families,” said Jake Beaty, Rebuild Upstate’s CEO.

Rebuild Upstate is a nonprofit organization that exists to repair the homes of our low-income neighbors, preserving affordable housing in our communities by making houses safer, healthier, and more livable.
