The Countybank Foundation, established in 1971 representing Countybank and Greenwood Capital, donated $5,000 to Greer Community Ministries (GCM). The donation will support more than 650 meals for residents in need.

Greer Community Ministries’ program provides food and clothing to individuals across the Greater Greer area. “Greer Community Ministries provides much needed assistance to those in need,” said Candice Good, Greer Market Administrator for Countybank who previously served as Board chairman for GCM. “Their mission is a true representation of how serving others can truly benefit our community as a whole.”

GCM supports several programs, including Meals on Wheels and Senior Dining that offer seniors warm, nutritious meals and provide them with the opportunity to enjoy social time with friends. GCM’s Food Pantry and Sharon’s Closet also offer emergency food assistance and supply clothing to those in need.

Good and Andrew Bond, Commercial Relationship Manager for Countybank who currently serves on the Board for GCM, regularly deliver meals as part of GCM’s Meals on Wheels Program. “By providing not only resources but our time, together – we can all make a difference in our community,” said Bond.

“We serve more than 80,000 meals annually,” said James Abbott, Executive Director for GCM. “With the help of organizations like Countybank and Greenwood Capital, we will make an even bigger impact on the community this year.”
