Laurens County Cruisers Car Club Celebrates Over Two Decades of Giving Back

The Laurens County Cruisers Car Club, with a rich history spanning more than 20 years, continues to make a positive impact on the community through their passion for automobiles and charity. This dedicated group of car enthusiasts actively participates in cruise-ins and car shows, channeling their love for vehicles into a force for good.

The primary focus of Laurens County Cruisers is giving back to the community. Over the years, they have consistently raised funds and collected essential items for organizations such as the Laurens County SAFE home, Laurens County Animal Shelter, and various other local charities. With 40 enthusiastic members, the club is a tight-knit community that shares a common goal – making a difference in the lives of those in need.

This year, the Laurens County Cruisers are taking a creative approach to fundraising. For the first time, they have decided to involve their members and their cars in a unique way. The club has launched a calendar featuring photographs of members and their creatively adorned cars. Each member had the option to choose a theme for a specific month, allowing them to showcase both their vehicles and their creativity. Some opted to decorate themselves along with their cars, while others chose to let their vehicles take center stage.

The photographs in the calendar were taken by Keshia Sorenson, the owner of K.R. Photography and a proud member of the Laurens County Cruisers. Her talent and dedication have brought the vision of the calendar to life.

To support the Laurens County Cruisers and their charitable initiatives, community members can purchase the calendar for $18 each. The funds raised through calendar sales will contribute to the club’s ongoing efforts to support local causes.

Chris Gurga, the President of the Laurens County Cruisers, encourages those interested to reach out for more information. He can be contacted at 864-872-1667 or via email at [email protected]. The club maintains an active presence on Facebook and you can click HERE to follow them.

As the Laurens County Cruisers continue to blend their love for cars with a commitment to community service, they invite everyone to join them on this exciting journey of giving back.

In the words of Chrisie Martin, Secretary of Laurens County Cruisers:

“Our passion for cars is matched only by our dedication to making a positive impact in our community. The calendar project is a reflection of the creativity and camaraderie within our club, and we hope it resonates with everyone who supports our mission.”
