Daniel Lovelace has been named Chief Marketing Officer & Director of Guest Experiences at Rick Erwin Dining Group, marking the first time someone other than the two majority owners, Rick Erwin and Michael Ivey, has been named to a Chief position within the company.
“We created this position with great intention,” says Owner & CEO Rick Erwin. “It’s been an honor and a privilege to serve the Upstate the way we have over the past 18 years, but we have to be willing to evolve. Daniel is a proven leader who’s been part of our team for more than a decade. He understands the culture we are striving for and knows how to communicate with our team to cultivate it. We can’t think of anyone better suited to lead us where we want to go.”
Lovelace will oversee the marketing strategy and brand standards for the hospitality group, and assist the Director of Operations in creating an environment where people love coming to work and have the support they need to perform their jobs at the highest level. He will also work to cultivate a culture of generosity and volunteerism, as the company lives out its newest core value of Commitment to Community and grows its Crab Cakes for a Cause initiative.
